Carrick Gold: a company reborn December 05, 2011 12:00 AM

Thank you very much, good morning, just. I’ve got 10 minutes to introduce you here to Carrick Gold so I’ll move right along. So what makes Carrick? Well first of all, we’re a single focus, single area focus company, we’ve got an area that’s 830 square kilometres with tenements around the  Kalgoorlie region which of course is very well-known to everyone here. We’ve got three deposits but each one will have multiple pits, sitting between three big operating mills.

We’re establishing ourselves as a dominant explorer and developer in this area, we’ve got ample funding to achieve our production goals, and we’ve got experience across the board with big companies so we know what we’re doing and we know what we can achieve.

Essentially Carrick’s a company that’s been reborn this year. Since January we’ve been able to build a quality team. We’ve had to rebuild a complete database there, and we’ve put 30,000 metres of drilling into the ground, got a new resources released, and we’ve put out our first reserve.

So before the end of the year, which is looming fast of course, we’ll have some revived reserves and resources for Kurnalpi, we’ll have our first pits designed up at Lindsay’s,  and at Kalpini we’ll have some more drilling done there, so we’ll be closer to producing some new resources there too, and we’ll have initiated a new project down at Spargoville.

We’ve got quite a diverse register there, see some large overseas ownership there. It’s very tightly held, 140 million shares there, a 60 million market cap and I guess somewhat importantly, 82 per cent of the stock is held all within the top 20.

We’ve got a significant geographical footprint around Kalgoorlie, on three sides there, as I said, 830 square kilometres in all. The three projects are there circled in yellow, so we’ve got what we call the LKK Project, which is, I guess you’d call it our flagship, which has the three projects: Linday’s, Kalpini and Kurnalpi. We’ve got Kalgoorlie west, and we’ve got Spargoville. They’re in close proximity to Kalgoorlie, everything’s within an hour’s drive, and obviously that means a lot.
